This podcast will now come to an end. Thank you to all for following it and please support and purchase materials by Brazilian and other artists you like.

In tribute to David I am leaving you with a song by Caetano Veloso from Black Orfeus called Valsa De Euridice.

David Heymann passed away quietly in his sleep on  Monday 11-10-14 . An authority on Brazilian and Jazz musics, David spent many years as a DJ at KKUP, KUSP and KFJC playing great music and elaborating on it with his vast knowledge. David grew up in New York and moved around a little finally ending up in Mountain View California. He worked for many years as a child and family therapist and retired several years ago to pursue his musical and photography passion. He traveled to Europe and Brazil and was a fantastic photographer. He also produced one of the most popular Brazilian music podcasts that you can still hear, at least for now: http://spiritofbrazil.podomatic.com David Heymann 1942-2014 Foi bom saber que você meu amigo.
